Head Automatica, long-dormant project of Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw, has released a new song titled "Bear The Cross" onto streaming platforms. It's the first material released by the band in 18 years, who reunited in 2023 for touring and recording of new material. Daryl had this to say about the track:
"To me, 'Bear The Cross' is both a logical and unexpected evolution of Head Automatica's sound. The sounds and ideas are very familiar but age undeniably changes your personality, creative leanings and approach. There is an urgency and boldness in what you feel empowered to produce after a certain point. 'Bear The Cross," and our new material on the whole are a reflection of that while still constantly maintaining a body moving element."
The song is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other platforms ...more

Emo-post-hardcore band Static Dress have released their new single "crying", accompanied with a new music video.
Frontman Olli Appleyard describes:
“The video for ‘crying’ explores several themes of the song’s lyrical character, revolving around taboo topics presented as a battle between the sacred and the profane."
“Rather than focusing solely on striking presentation and the visual stimulation of colour and design, we ask the viewer to travel through multiple scenes, all with their own subject matter; guilt and battling with self-loathing, mass corporate manipulation, capitalist horde mentality and weaponized lust.”
Static Dress will be opening for Underoath live this year, see link below for tour dates.

Legendary American record producer and musician Steve Albini has died of heart attack at his studio May 7th aged 61.
Albini's legacy is way too big to describe in one news item. As well as being the frontman of Shellac and Big Black, Albini was famous for his work as a studio engineer and producer. He recorded Nirvana’s In Utero, Pixies’ Surfer Rosa, PJ Harvey’s Rid of Me and many, many more iconic albums.
Shellac's LP To All Trains, the band's first in 10 years, is scheduled to be released next week, and the band was preparing for a tour.
2024, the year that keeps on giving! Swancore legends Dance Gavin Dance are set to support universally loved outfit Falling in Reverse on the "Popular Monstour 2" (a sequel tour named after a single released five years ago). Unfortunately, Dance Gavin Dance recently removed their excellent and well-respected vocalist: as such, it is presently unknown whether a clean or dirty vocalist will perform with the band. It is known that Ronnie Radke will be fronting Falling in Reverse. It is also known that attendees of this excellent package will be treated to a Black Veil Brides performance as well. Some other supports have also been added to the lineup, none of which are or have ever had a normal interaction with a woman either.
Response to this announcement has been overwhelming, with longtime fans nicknaming it the "cover your drink tour" and stating that "this is comedy at this point". It is technically possible to buy tickets to this tour.
