Hailing from Oakland by way of Los Angeles, is Metal Mother, moniker of musician and performer, Tara Timberman. Crossing the lines between electronic, industrial, pop, and goth, with her own acid-drenched techno pagan twist, she’s caught the attention of Vice, Vogue, Bust, Blackbook, USA Today, MTV, Mishka Bloglin, and earned cover stories from The SF Bay Guardian and Performer Magazine, among others. Since Metal Mother’s debut in 2011, she’s released two full albums, Bonfire Diaries and Ionika, under her own label name, Post Primal. She’s made music videos for the songs "Shake" and "Mind_off", played shows from festival stages to gender queer warehouse parties, and everything in between. She’s also featured on the track "Becoming Harmonious" on the latest Glitch Mob album, adding lyrics and vocals to the song. Spastic composition style, emotive vocal layering, quirky melodies, and harsh beats colliding through the influences of romance, folklore, and industrial chaos, add some sweet and some street, and you have Metal Mother.
